When the far-right, anti-Islam AfD party won over 90 seats in this year’s German federal elections, moderates were left reeling. Given the country’s Nazi past, the results were particularly worrisome. But Germany is certainly not the only state having to face right-wing extremists in Parliament. This month, we look at how mainstream politicians in other European countries – Austria, Italy, The Netherlands – deal with far-right groups in their own legislatures.
