Sophie Meiners

Sophie Meiners is a Research Fellow in the Migration Programme of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). Previously, she was a Carlo Schmid Fellow at the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the Office of the Special Representative on Climate. She also supported a study by the German Council of Experts on Integration and Migration (SVR) on the educational opportunities of young new immigrants and worked at the IQ Fachstelle Immigration on the topics of new immigration and labour market integration of migrants. During a stay at the Zambia office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, she also gained experience in the areas of development and internal migration.
