Marco Schwarz has been working as a policy officer for democracy and EU enlargement at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung's office in Brussels since 2015. Previously, he worked for the 'Europa-Union', the German section of the Union of European Federalists, in Berlin. He studied political and social sciences at the University of Göttingen.
