Hans-Dieter Heumann

The former German ambassador Hans-Dieter Heumann was a diplomat in Washington, Moscow and Paris, among other places, and worked in management positions at the Federal Foreign Office and the Ministry of Defense. Until 2015, he headed the Federal Academy for Security Policy in Berlin. Today, he is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the University of Bonn.
