The Group of Twenty (G20), which brings together the world’s leading industrialised and emerging economies, will meet this July in the German city of Hamburg. This year the focus is on Africa – represented by only one country in the group. There’s certainly plenty to discuss: can free trade make everyone better off, or does it leave the poorest countries behind? How can countries work together to fend off global warming? What’s the best way to end sexual discrimination? Who should shape the rules governing our financial systems? And is it possible to end the cycle of corruption that leaves many of the worlds’ citizens without means and hope? Our contributors explore these themes and more in this section dedicated to the G20 summit.
